Excellant facilities, concept of relaxing area with coffee , tea etc was very good. The gym could do with re arranging to allow more floor space! I am not sure why there were 2 clothes rails in there. All other services were excellent and the few things we needed addressing were done so in a timely manner.
It was very very noisy at night, double glazed windows would help!! Channels on the tv were limited

Consider asking for earplugs at the front desk if you're a light sleeper, as street noise can be noticeable.

The location is excellent and as i am a women solo travelor, i felt very secured in the hotel and in the area. The personnel was very nice and friendly. Very easy to communicate too as they all speak english or french. the personal at the annexed restaurant are also very attentive. The self service coffee and water is also appreciated. the lobby is very small and, following the pictures i had seen on the web site, i was a bit decived. However, i had a very nice stay and I recommand it.
In the web site they talk about the white bar. That's'wrong. It is the burguesa and the restaurant is not part of the hotel but they make arrangement. They should explain more about the hotel and restaurant services when we arrive because we don't really know. There is no bar or restaurant in the hotel itself.

Chic & Basic Born is totally chic and different, we had a very warm welcome by the staff and they were very helpful. The hotel had everything you needed and the rooms were amazing.

Great location in Born, friendly staff, stylish. Completely no fuss from the brown paper bag of essentials to the breakfast bar. Lives up to its name.
I didn't mind but the (enclosed!) shower in the middle of the room and the rather cramped quarters wouldn't be to everyone's taste

It is a completely new concept and a change from the standard hotel accommodation (I preferred it infinitely to the hotel Central where my family was staying). The room was lovely, the bed super comfortable and all the little touches very agreeable. I loved my balcony, very private and yet full of life, and I like the fact that it was very design and so different from an ordinary room. It was a very pleasant experience. And yes, I would recommend it and come again if I can.

Quirky and unique hotel located near to market, the fantastically cool Gothic quarter, and sightseeing places and the beach. Amazing food for breakfast. Best staff always on hand. Amazing location - near a private museum.

Amazing stay with cool vibes!
Our room was super creative, with a shower right in the middle-kind of quirky but fun. The coffee station was a lifesaver after late nights out in the area with tons of restaurants and bars. The staff were really friendly too. Only bummer was the noise from the street, so light sleepers beware.

Make sure you stay in the deluxe queen room with the view of the street. It is in good location to Picasso Museum, set near the hotel.

Really a very good hotel especially for its money and in a great neighbourhood with nice restaurants and bars. The metro station it was very close. I liked the lightning in the room. The hotel stuff was really nice and helpfull and the free coffee, tea or water is really a great idea. The only negative was the cleanliness. Although they cleaned every day the room they never changed us the towels in our 6night stay.
They haven't changed oyr towels.

Location was excellent and in particular, Stefan was extremely helpful when we had difficulties getting our tickets from La Caixa
The hanging beads in the hallway were a bit annoying
